The Griffin Law Charitable Foundation was created by our founder to support national and international charities that fit with the Foundation’s ethos and pre-established requirements. Each month, the trustees of the Foundation meet to discuss how to dispense up to £1,000 to good works that may benefit from our funding. The trustees donated a little more this month.

Ian Elphick – London Marathon, fundraising for NRAS, the Rheumatoid Arthritis Charity – £250

JustGiving

‘On 23rd April 2023 I ran the London Marathon, completing it in 5 hours 1 minute and 43 seconds. I am raising money for NRAS, the Rheumatoid Arthritis charity, my wife has suffered with this condition for the last 10 years and I know many other sufferers too. Anything that you can give will be welcome.’

Finley’s Snowden Challenge – £1,000
JustGiving

At two days old, Finley developed meningitis which went undiagnosed and the uncontrollable seizures he suffered caused long-term brain damage resulting in quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and many other health conditions. His parents were told the devastating news that he may only live a few weeks and so they took him home to make lasting memories with their family. As the weeks passed Finley defied all the odds and he started to show improvements in his sight and understanding. Finley is now 9 years old and as he grows, so do to the costs of his equipment. The family, and Finley, are embarking on the Snowdon Challenge, to raise money for a new wheelchair and buggy.
