Donal Blaney, Founder of Griffin Law, created The Griffin Law Charitable Foundation to support national and international charities that fit with the Foundation’s ethos and pre-established requirements. Each month, the trustees of the Foundation meet to discuss how to dispense up to £1,000 to good works that may benefit from our funding. This month’s charities happen to be local to our home in West Malling.

Solving Kid’s Cancer – £500

Four year old Nellie-Rose from Maidstone, Kent has stage four neuroblastoma, a rare disease affecting around 100 UK children each year which has a 40 to 50% chance of survival. Her family are trying to raise enough money to take her to New York for a potentially life-saving vaccine. https://www.solvingkidscancer.org.uk/appeal/nellierose

Spadework – £500

We previously donated to Spadework in November 2019. On 23 February 2021, the charity was broken into and items to the value of £7,500 were stolen. The charity need all the help they can get, to get back on their feet.  Spadework provides care, skills and meaningful opportunities for over 110 adults with learning and other disabilities in their farm-to-shop operation.
