The Griffin Law Charitable Foundation was created by our Founder to support national and international charities that fit with the Foundation’s ethos and pre-established requirements. Each month, the trustees of the Foundation meet to discuss how to dispense up to £1,000 to good works that may benefit from our funding.

This month, the trustees have decided to make donations as follows:

Team Phoenix Foundation

Team Phoenix is a charity supporting women who have been through a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, to help them regain physical and mental wellbeing, and form a lasting support structure. They follow a tailor-made, 5-6 month social, wellbeing and fitness programme to enable them to complete a triathlon and earn the exclusive Team Phoenix T Shirt and the coveted title: ‘Firebird‘.

A friend of Griffin Law’s, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, struggled with her mental wellbeing despite being in remission, especially after having to undergo hormone therapy to lower cancer recurrence.

She then discovered Team Phoenix who encouraged her to train for a triathlon. She has been training since May 2025 with 10 other survivors and said “I feel like something good has come out of this experience, it’s helping me feel like me again, I’m growing my wings and I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time.”

Hungry Hearts for the Homeless

Hungry Hearts for the Homeless, a Maidstone-based charity, was started in 2017 after its Founder, Andy, saw a need for such a service in the area. Over the years, Hungry Hearts has grown to become a large group of volunteers, ranging from cooks, donations collectors, and soup kitchen servers. Their mission is to ensure that everyone that needs a hot meal can access one in a safe and friendly environment. Donations will be used to help fund food for the guests; ingredients, containers, cutlery and bags and to provide guests with sleeping bags, tents, tarpaulins etc., as well as gloves and hats.

KSS Air Ambulance

KSS (www.aakss.org.uk) is much more than just a flying ambulance.  The state-of-the art helicopters can arrive on scene, anywhere in Kent within just 30 minutes, often much faster.  The highly skilled and experienced doctors and paramedics bring cutting edge technology and equipment directly to the scene of an incident and can perform life-saving hospital level procedures; administering general anaesthetic, blood transfusions and undertaking heart surgery to name but a few.  They deliver this care 24/7, 365 days of the year, wherever it is needed: in the middle of the motorway, on a golf course, in an office, in a family home, day or night , and in all manner of challenging terrain and weather conditions. On average, the air ambulance is called to nine incidents every day.

To continue saving lives and keeping families together this year, it must raise £20.4m towards this vital service which costs £56,000 per day to run the service, and an average of £4,000 per mission.
