The Griffin Law Charitable Foundation was created by our Founder to support national and international charities that fit with the Foundation’s ethos and pre-established requirements. Each month, the trustees of the Foundation meet to discuss how to dispense up to £1,000 to good works that may benefit from our funding. This month our requests for assistance were all local and we are delighted to be able to help our neighbours in need.
Alzheimers Research UK
Our family has been deeply affected by dementia, like so many others. Over the past decade, we’ve lost one grandfather to vascular dementia, and three of my grandparents now live with Alzheimer’s. Two are in care homes, one is declining rapidly, and recently my grandparents had to be separated for the first time in decades, which has been very hard.
My parents have spent the last 10 years caring for them, as the current social care system falls short—and with diagnoses rising, the challenges are only growing.
We’ve seen the heavy toll this disease takes, and we’re committed to raising funds to support research and help prevent future families from facing the same pain. Any donation, however small, would mean a lot and help us reach our goal.
Griffin Law Foundation donation £250. (The trustees will also monitor the family’s fundraising progress and may make a further donation in the coming months.)
Denise’s nephew and his partner had a baby boy, Leo, last month, who was born sleeping. Abigail’s Footsteps provided amazing help to the family, including having an apartment available at Medway Hospital where the family could stay and be with baby Leo.
This donation is a sign of appreciation to the charity for the work they do.

Cuxton 91 FC – Under 14 Jaguars
Cuxton 91 FC aim to make grassroots football accessible to everyone and in 2022 created two all-girls teams, one of which is now the under-14 Jaguars. Since the team was formed four years ago, they’ve proven themselves to be a competitive team in the area and have done well at several tournaments. The team would like to purchase new training equipment, including free kick mannequins, telescopic poles, skills nets and rebound boards, in order to progress the girls’ skills

Sittingbourne FC – Under 11s – Yellows and Blues
Sittingbourne U11s are proud to play with the Griffin Law logo on their tops and continue to compete competitively in both the Maidstone and Medway leagues. The team receives no funding and relies solely on the parents and coaches to fundraise throughout the year for their requirements.
The squad has attracted more players and provides a safe, competitive, fun environment for the boys to develop their skills and relationships. As the squad has grown, the team needs to raise money to purchase more kit for the new players and the necessary equipment to facilitate the expanding team.
The team would like to purchase kit for the new boys: training kit, home, and away kits. Additionally, it also requires new training nets and a larger subs bench. It has raised some money but requires a further £350 to cover costs. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Snodland Cricket Club
Mark sits on the board of Snodland Cricket Club and is also a member of the team. Snodland Town Council has increased the yearly rent by ?250. This has put some additional pressure on the finances of the club, and it would appreciate any kind of monetary assistance.
