The Griffin Law Charitable Foundation was created by our Founder to support national and international charities that fit with the Foundation’s ethos and pre-established requirements. Each month, the trustees of the Foundation meet to discuss how to dispense up to £1,000 to good works that may benefit from our funding.
This month the trustees have decided to donate £1,000 to one outstandingly great cause.
Andrew Southern for The Wickers Charity
On 16th of May 2025, Andrew will be stepping into the ring to raise funds and awareness for The Wickers Charity and the life-changing work they do.
Andrew says: ‘Knife crime in London is a brutal reality. With nearly 46 incidents reported daily, that’s one every 30 minutes, according to the ONS. It’s a growing issue that threatens not just the city we proudly develop in, but the futures of our next generation, young people trying to find their way.
No child should feel the need to carry or use a knife. Nor should they have to engage in anti-social behaviour in the pursuit of money and opportunity.’
The Wickers Charity and Andrew believe in tackling this at the root. Through personal mentorship, employability programs, and empowering community activities, they offer vulnerable youth genuine alternatives – opportunities that were once out of reach for many from underprivileged backgrounds.
